I first couldn't believe this was done in traditional medium!
The amazing detailing is what caught my eye most, it's accurate and complex, even the tiniest little feather is worked out in all details.
The expression of an angry bird of prey, threatening the watcher on eye level, is perfect. The shading is excellent, the choice of colors is balanced and the sweeping background makes the bird really stand out.
It do looks like a lot of hard work, a lot of patience and a very, very small brush!!
