Oh, that was just a small, cheap one by my local art & craft dealer. It hasn't got a brand name in it.

I don't really have a *special* brand of sketch books I'm using, I will take whatever is available and affordable for me at the time. Important for me is that the pages are not too thin and preferable a soft white or even creme colour. I don't like harsh white paper in a sketchbook. In this one, I painted all pages with gesso before I used it as this is the book I use for silverpoint drawings, and the pages have to be primed for that.

That does! I guess I was looking for what attributes you look for - I'm in the market for a new sketchbook because I dislike the one I have. Its much too thin but it does have that nice cream color, which I love as well.

Thank you very much!! Oh, it is not a special sketchbook, just a cheap one from my local art store. What I do: I paint my sketchbooks with gesso, before I use them, it gives a nice texture. I tint the gesso in a sepia tone, before I use it - I don't like bright white paper, it scares me. >.<

You should seriously consider developing a Greeting Card line based on this [these] character[s]. Don't know if you've ever seen the Hallmark line with Maxine - [link] - over there, but it is a big seller here. I could see this working the same magic.

In any event, I LOVE

this and think it a just about perfect representation of the Monday Morning most of us face each week.
